The garden of Finca Ponderosa unfolds as a carefully considered space, designed to work in harmony with what already exists. Rather than imposing a formal design onto the terrain, it listens to the land: the established olive and fruit trees, the natural contours, the views toward the distant Tramuntana mountains and the vineyards beyond. The planting approach is rooted in pragmatism and respect for place. Species are native or locally adapted to Mallorca's climate. Rosemary, mastic, teucrium, cacti and agave requiring minimal irrigation and maintenance while remaining beautiful across seasons. Intermingled with existing fruit trees and selected ornamental plantings, this is a garden designed to last, to age gracefully, to become more itself over time.
